Will Tuttle's (author of "The World Peace Diet") Veg Inspiration of the Day

To be free, we must practice freeing others. To feel loved, we must practice loving others. To have true self-respect, we must respect others. The animals and other voiceless beings, the starving humans and future generations, are pleading with us to see: it’s on our plate.

FINAL Exam Complete!

Only one day left! Crazy to think we're actually complete this training...

Here's a few random shots from our second to last day -- we deviated from the routine and took an Open class led by Andrea (co-founder of Jivamukti Charleston) --- fantastic class!!!

It's ALL God!

Davidji teaches our final lesson --- from the Bhagavad Gita: Brahmarpanam brahmahavirbrahmagnau brahmana hutam Brahmaiva tena gantavyam brahmakamasamadhina - BG IV.24

Anytime you see Brahma, karma and samadhi in the same sloka you know it's gonna be GOOD! ; - )

The gist here is that God is in everything. Experiencing "good" and "bad" is what brings us "trouble", so see the Divine in ALL, be grateful, be an active participant and be mindful. Remind yourself of the Divine nature in all!

2 days until graduation!!!!

Alanna brings love!

Alanna came to visit last eve ---- so wonderful to be with her! And my first venture away from the Omega campus since arrival. Here she is with Jessica, a fellow TT of mine and a student of Alanna's from her Colorado days. We had a great dinner --- and the most surreal cab ride ever on the way home.

We practiced together this a.m. and then Alanna was around to critique my first teaching session today --- we've begun the teaching! The hall was buzzing as each of the 4 groups took to their corners of the room to teach the Jivamukti Warrior to Sage sequence. I'm thrilled because I rec'd very positive feedback from Davidji (David Life), my Guru.

Just 4 days to go! Crazy to think...

AND I'll be teaching my first Jivamukti class on Sat, the 24th at Flow --- my first day back in DC! Hari OM!!

Om Shantih!

Just another day at Jivamukti TT...

Tomorrow puts us at 1 week to graduation!! The midterm was last night --- quite the brain dump! The last few days have been a wild ride --- chakra tuning, ecstatic chant, forward bending, back bending, inversions -- you name it, we do it!

Life is good ---- thanks to all for your continued support!

Kirtan Hall of Fame!

Here's a pic of the finale of this w.end's Estatic Chant --- unbelievable bhav!

Shyam Das, Jai Uttal, Dave Stringer, Snatam Kaur (that's the top of her turban) and Sharon Gannon (behind Stringer).

They brought the house down!!

Jeffrey sends a shout out to DC!

Ecstatic Chant wrapped up this afternoon --- and here's Jeffrey Cohen (co-owner of Jivamukti Charleston and a DC favorite!) feeling the bhav!

Jeffrey and Andrea's recently opening Jivamukti center is Charleston is fantastic! And they'll be making another visit to DC in July (at Pure Prana, I think...).

Ecstatic Chant comes to Jivamukti TT

Ecstatic Chant Weekend started last night --- Snatam Kaur and then Jai Uttal kicked it off --- fantastic!

This morning Donna DeLory (pictured here) got up to get down on "Om Namah Shivaya!" --- yahoo!!! And then Dave Stringer brought the house to its feet (a few times) to round out the morning.

Om Namah Shivaya!!!
